I can't argue with the quality of this line either, and I might have to pick up the boxset. It's just when one of my dumb soldier dolls cost over $100, it sure cuts into getting other full lines. But for their scale the McF soldiers are the best out there.

The 1:18 BBI figures are extremely well done for the scale. Their weapons, especially, contain the same amount of detail as the McFarlane Military ones.
To call them "laughable" even when compared to the McFarlane soldiers is just... wrong.

I should've added those are laughable, even when compared to... nothing.
40 years later, and they still look like the day they were first produced.
I think it's the doll-like face that ruins the entire figure.

you lost me...
which figs?
-
GI Joes.
Particulary the 12 inchers.
-
I think it depends on the fig...
the new(ish) Spirit one looks great.
as did the Snake-Eyes and Storm Shadow, although they'd be exempt from this, as they don't really HAVE faces...
but the 3.75" ones?
apples and oranges, my friend.
while the McF ones have far better sculpting, I'd have a hell of a lot more fun playing with the Joes.
